FICTION: Nikita, obsessed with Aztec carvings and trephining, emerges from a basketball clinic in the jungles of Brazil. It's part of his harried plan to discover a rare form of clear amber only known to those in stellar physical condition. It has something to do with endorphins and the absorption of oxygen into the optic nerve at high altitudes. Anyway, he found it in a rusty mailbox outside of a little town known for their fantastic plantains. He was almost run over by a squadron of motorcyles. A rooster thought Nikita was challenging him, resulting in typhoid fever. And then, the fever lifts and he's got a one-way ticket from Brasilia to Miami.
